Dream House by Marzia Bisgonin
From YouTube sensation Marzia “CutiePieMarzia” Bisognin comes a debut young adult paranormal thriller about a girl whose dream house quickly becomes a nightmare.
When Amethyst stumbles upon the house of her dreams, she can’t help but be enchanted by it, even if there’s something a little…off about the place.
It’s everything she’s ever wanted in a home, so when the Blooms invite her to stay the night to avoid an impending storm, she instantly accepts.
Yet when she awakes the next morning, alone and unable to bring herself to leave, Amethyst comes face-to-face with unexpected twists and turns—like Alfred, the creepy gardener; Avery, the handsome but secretive neighbor, and a little girl who keeps appearing and vanishing within the house.
As Amethyst searches for the Blooms and tries to unravel the truth, her connection to the house only grows stronger. Will she be able to break free of the house’s allure, or will its secrets keep her trapped forever?

Nimona by Noelle Stevenson
The graphic novel debut from rising star Noelle Stevenson, based on her beloved and critically acclaimed web comic, which Slate awarded its Cartoonist Studio Prize, calling it "a deadpan epic."
Nemeses! Dragons! Science! Symbolism! All these and more await in this brilliantly subversive, sharply irreverent epic from Noelle Stevenson. Featuring an exclusive epilogue not seen in the web comic, along with bonus conceptual sketches and revised pages throughout, this gorgeous full-color graphic novel is perfect for the legions of fans of the web comic and is sure to win Noelle many new ones.
Nimona is an impulsive young shapeshifter with a knack for villainy. Lord Ballister Blackheart is a villain with a vendetta. As sidekick and supervillain, Nimona and Lord Blackheart are about to wreak some serious havoc. Their mission: prove to the kingdom that Sir Ambrosius Goldenloin and his buddies at the Institution of Law Enforcement and Heroics aren't the heroes everyone thinks they are.
But as small acts of mischief escalate into a vicious battle, Lord Blackheart realizes that Nimona's powers are as murky and mysterious as her past. And her unpredictable wild side might be more dangerous than he is willing to admit.

The Shadow of the Wind by Carlos Ruiz Zafón
Barcelona, 1945: A city slowly heals in the aftermath of the Spanish Civil War, and Daniel, an antiquarian book dealer’s son who mourns the loss of his mother, finds solace in a mysterious book entitled The Shadow of the Wind, by one Julián Carax. But when he sets out to find the author’s other works, he makes a shocking discovery: someone has been systematically destroying every copy of every book Carax has written. In fact, Daniel may have the last of Carax’s books in existence. Soon Daniel’s seemingly innocent quest opens a door into one of Barcelona’s darkest secrets--an epic story of murder, madness, and doomed love.

The Fear of Missing Out
I'm sure that I am not the only one who gets jealous whenever most of my friends go to this amazing event that I wasn't able to attend to. That's why this year, I'm challenging you to Go Out More Often.
There is a scientific study that states that materialistic things are just there to make you feel satisfied on that moment or maybe in a few days or years or so. Think about it, if you're spending your money on memories, you wouldn't really forget those things for a lifetime, right? Unlike the things that you only bought in order to go with what's "cool" these days (I feel so guilty whilst typing this) and sometimes you would forget those things and never touch them again.
Spending your money on memories not only gains happiness (that would last a lifetime) for you, but it also make you gain more life experiences and you get to bump into people that have the same interests as you. Heck, you won't even blame yourself for not being there.
I, myself made a list of the events and places that I would want to see and go to in the near future. I suggest that you guys try it as well because it acts as a motivation that keeps me going from day-to-day. If you still haven't made up your mind yet, why not check this list that I made? I think you guys might be interested in trying the following:
- Go attend a concert. (To all Filipino readers, check out In The Mix 2016 featuring acts from James Bay, The 1975, Panic! At The Disco and a whole lot more)
- Do a Euro-trip.
- Play Pokémon GO. It is also probably one of the ways for you to see your surroundings, appreciate God's gift while meeting other trainers that are near you.
- Create a local event that supports different organizations with different causes.
- Attend to a convention. (I swear, going to conventions are worth it... because EVERYTHING'S IN THERE ALREADY)
Since some countries are having their summer break, it can be an outlet for you to plan, and go to events in your area that would truly let you see life and what it has to offer. Eventbrite aims to help you with planning events through their event management software and can even ease your stress with their hassle-free RSVP tool that works seamlessly with their online ticketing, registration, and invitations in order to keep track of those who will attend your event.

Banana + Honey Oatmeal | Recipe
Today, I'm going to share a quick, 3-ingredient oatmeal recipe that everyone will love. (+ Add-ons that can amp this recipe up a bit!) I guess this combination is pretty known with instant oatmeal but this is a healthier way to cook up your instant oats.
INGREDIENTS (Makes 1 Serving)
- 8 Tablespoons Rolled Oats
- 1 Finger Banana
- Honey (Adjust the amount that you want to add)
EXTRAS
- A teaspoon of Cinnamon powder
- 1/4 cup Walnuts
- 1 cup Almond milk
DYK? TRIVIA
- An individual banana is called a "finger" and a group of bananas are called "Hand".
- Rolled Oats can reduce the risk of cancer and heart disease, lowers high cholesterol, relieves constipation, contains vitamins and a lot more health benefits.
PROCEDURE
1. Cook Rolled Oats based on the packaging's instruction. (You can cook yours with Almond milk or with plain water) [I let mine submerge just a little bit under the water and let the rolled oats boil.]
2. Once it's done, cut your banana finger into tiny pieces and add them on top.
3. Drizzle honey (and add other stuff that you want) and voila! You're done!

I hope that you guys will try this very simple recipe out. This has been my instant savior on those days wherein I just needed a little bit of boost before we start our football training. Thank you for reading and I'll see you next time!
A Raconteur's Rundown V 2.1
It's definitely high time for a new Raconteur's Rundown. I have to admit, I haven't been hands-on with my blog lately because I am 'very' busy with school works and other projects that I intend to do. I am trying my best, and I'd like to apologize with my posting schedule because it's a little bit off than usual. Anywho, let's get on to this one. :)
[ 1 ]
This is me and my friend's lifeline for the past few months now. Last April, I decided to fulfill my long term goal of trying a sport (and actually not giving up on it ONCE) I'm very happy that I tried playing football because it was one of the best things that has happened in my life so far and I get to meet amazing people that I'm planning to keep in the long run. :)

I'd be lying if I said that this book didn't change my point of view in life. Everybody crosses a book wherein they think that everybody should be reading this. As for me, this the book that I'd like everyone to check out. The life-changing magic of tidying up by Marie Kondo changed my perception and made me hate myself so much. With the help of this book, I started to eliminate things that I do not need and I'm on my way to minimalism. (Though it's honestly hard, I will still pursue it as much as I can and I hope you do, too.)

I've been a k-pop fan wayyyy back when Girl's Generation released "Gee", and 2NE1 released "I don't care" on the air waves. I didn't anticipate it, but the love finally grew back. I'm now stanning amazing groups that kept me smiling each and every single day. Korean pop isn't the only thing that came from Korea that stole my heart. I've been watching K-dramas lately (and yup, I'm still stuck with "The Heirs") and the way that they do their makeup is very cute and minimal that made me just want to try it. x

Last April, I got my hair colored for the very first time. I've tried hair chalk for my hair before and green looks good on me. I'm proud to say that my hair didn't really lose much of its color when I had it because I've been protecting it with MY LIFE. (If you want a hair care routine for color-treated hair, just let me know haha) Unfortunately, I needed to color it back to a dark brown color because our school doesn't allow vibrant hair colors in campus. I'm planning on doing a pastel purple next year. :D

During the summer, food trips had been inevitable. We've been trying a lot of famous stores that circles our perimeter. My personal favorite (right now) is WICKED KITCHEN (located in Maginhawa street) and TRI-MO SHAWARMA (located in Lagro, Q.C.) I suggest you and your family try going out for some food trip sometime. I suggest going to a food park in order to get a better range of selection in one place.

That will be it for now! :) Thank you for reading and I'll see you on the next blog post! :D

1. Ender's Game (O.S. Card)
Ender's Game tells a story of a kid named Ender as he trains in a very young age to win against insectoid alien species. During his training days, his tactical ability shone through because of difficult games that they play.
2. The Fellowship of the Ring ( J.R.R. Tolkien)
In this book, Bilbo Baggins went away and left The Ring with the hands of Gandalf. Soon enough, Frodo Baggins founds out that Bilbo oft his will in his hands and Gandalf passed him the ring and told stories all about it. It's up to Frodo to end and destroy the ring once and for all in the very center of Sauron's (the story's antagonist) own kingdom.
How to Plan Your Outfits
I have never been the person to rock a really good outfit choice each and every time. I don't give a damn about how I wear things 5 years ago, but being in this society in this generation opened my eyes to something more great—expressing myself through the things I wear. It's definitely hard to find something that would pair up with another. I keep on buying matching things (or things being worn by mannequins) to prevent styling them... so I really praise fashion bloggers for their dedication with their work. But it's not too late to start styling clothes my way, right? :)
| The Benefits of Outfit Planning
- No need to worry about what you're going to wear on the spot. (Less stress!)
- It stops you from saying "I have nothing to wear!"
- Cleaner closet.
- It generally makes life easier.
| How To do it
- Plan your schedule ahead.
Know the events that you need to be in this month. Think about ideal outfits for every kind of event along the way.
- Get hangers.
I guess it's optional if you want to fold your clothes... but I personally prefer using hangers so that I have easy access to the clothes that I'm planning to wear.
- Create / reserve an area that will separate your clothes from your "planned" outfits.
You can also add a rack for your chosen outfits so you can identify them easily and for them to not get mixed up with your regular clothes.
- Organize all of your clothes in anyway you like. (+ Declutter when you can)
Try organizing them by color, by style or in any way that works for you. In the process of doing so, take out the clothes that you will most likely never going to wear again. Donate them to a local charity to help others out instead.
- Know the clothes that you own.
This is one of the steps that are very crucial for this process. In order to style things, you need to know that you own them for easier mix & match sessions. If you're having trouble with remembering the clothes inside your closet, here are some apps that could help you with that. :)
- Do research and take inspiration from others.
To get a basic idea that those things can be paired with those. Try flipping through magazines, checking out pinterest, tumblr, or just plain google.
- You're all set.
With all those things in mind, you can now live an easier life with no worries.
